Hi Pam I was the one doing the Gamma Rays…It is actually Gamma Globulin treatments.  It is a type of blood/ antibody treatment. My white cell and lymphocytes had dropped very low as a result of a year on oral cytoxan and my Lupus CNS has been totally out of control. So I am trying them. My daughter renamed them Gamma Rays (0: . I was also told I had Spondylosis just recently  from a MRI I had. My dr said it is why your back hurts all the time      end of quote. Treatments are prednisone and muscle relaxers from what I have been told. It is good to see you post again Love Cindy (formally Bassward) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -KCat wrote: > DID I OR DID I NOT say no smart ass remarks!!!!! > hey, ya gotta give somewhere.  I might act like I know everything but > now and then I can admit that I don’t. > well, sort of… > On Fri, 21 Sep 2001 21:52:58 -0400, "Janers" <rojak…@bright.net> > wrote: > >"for my part, I know nothing about it…" > >OMG did KCat really write that or was that one of them trolls again…. > >ROFLMAO > >GUESS WHO

Hi Pam! Glad to hear from you.  Life would be boring if we couldn’t come up with new symptoms! :P “` I think the topic of spondylosis was just discussed not too long ago… (3 weeks?).  You might try a google search… otherwise, hopefully some folks will respond. for my part, I know nothing about it… no smart remarks needed..  <smirk> hugs, kcat On Fri, 21 Sep 2001 17:17:47 -0700, "cloud`9" <cloud…@bellsouth.net> wrote: <snip> – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->Anyways, if any one can point me to the spondylosis page i would be more >then thankful. Yep, I am one the same cloud. Actually, I began as cloud`9 but there were toooo many of them so i converted to multiplictity  : )  whatever that means. It is good to see that you folks are still splish splashing around in the same gene pool! Thanks for the links, I will check them out. I feel good to see all the rocket scientists are still here. I had another quetion but do not remember what it is so will have to wait for the celestial fires to once more reignite in this little brain. Till then, I have to figure out all this talk on Gamma Rays and tests I have never heard of before and am sure my doctor’s haven’t either. Hahaha! You know I have doctors that would be funkinbobbulated by over 90% of what is written on this newsgroup. If we could only write each other our own prescriptions I think we would deffinetely be onto some miraculous recoveries here and total remissions! Anyways, HELLO!  BIG WAVE!!  and thank you! Response:

Hi Pam, You are referring to spondylosis, not spondylitis, aren’t you? I have spondylosis as well as a compression fracture in my lumbar region. Spondylosis is caused by degeneration. The doctor told me that just about everyone will get that, if they live long enough. He also called it lumbar stenosis. I concluded from what he said that it was no biggie. I am relatively new here. Glad you floated in to chat. Regards, BJ "cloud`9" <cloud…@bellsouth.net> wrote in message

Hi Pam, Good to see you. did you used to be Pam of Cloud Genre?   (Just trying to place where I’ve seen your name before).  Also sometimes helps in the response to look the person up in Google. There’s lots of posts by Pam of Cloud Genre, that’s why I asked. Anyhow spondylosis seems to mean inflammation of the vertebrae (so I suppose it can affect any part of the body/spine). Then there’s ankylosing spondylosis http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000420.htm Spondylitis involves inflammation of one or more vertebrae. Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the joints between the vertebrae of the spine, and the joints between the spine and the pelvis. It eventually causes the affected vertebrae to fuse or grow together. <snip> Sounds like a bit more serious than osteoarthritis of the spine (and/or the calcifications fusing together? Sounds like you’ve not seen the end of pain meds. :( Hope this helps J PS Surgery is also mentioned and somewhere I’ve posted (or saved) some info about a new way of inserting something between the disks to prevent pain. Whatever/wherever, the surgery is less invasive, less expensive, but like all things new perhaps the longterm has yet to be assessed. (anyhow this might be off-topic because I don’t have a model of the spine in front of me, vertebrae, discs etc…very confusing (for me). http://www.bartleby.com/107/ (must be spine somewhere here, but I’ve got to shutdown..thunderboomers..) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -cloud`9 wrote: > It has been so long since I have posted here but I recognize janers and kcat > and wooten and a few others. seems the beat goes on. : ) > anyways, since i was diagnosed with mctd (mixed connective tissue disease) > with RA and Lupus, I had been frequenting this newsgroup and found it to be > often a blessing.  you can include asthma and fibro to my lists of disease > diplomas.
