Question:

I need help! I had a cold while I was on vacation. I returned home on Wednesday. The problem is that I flew (non-stop) for 12 hours to return.. I have a major sinus infection, along with an ear infection, bronchitis and asthma. Among other things, I am on Levaquin( for the 3rd time since Dec 27) , and Prednisone. I had to stop the flonase and /astelin sprays because of nosebleeds. I have sever pressure and pain that I can’t seem to relieve. I’ve been using saline spray(CVS brand). Any advice?

Response:

If you have had your symptoms for two weeks or less they are probably viral and antibiotics will have no effect. Adecongestant would probably help to relieve the pressure. Heather Collins UK Mikecheath…@oakwellmount.freeserve.co.uk J Selkow <js…@webtv.net> wrote in message

Response:

Same thing happened to me a few years back… decongestants should help… but I was told that it could take up to six months for all of the problems to clear up.  And… no flying in the meantime.    Also told decongestants and a nasal spray like Flonase should be started two weeks prior to flying…and to never fly with a cold. Hope this helps…
