I know how you feel, because I was getting very nervous just before my sinus surgery.  (Since you’re already nervous, I won’t tell you just what I was worried about, until AFTER you have had your surgery.) I’m not a physician, just a sinusitis patient like you.  But from what you described of your history, it sounds like CLASSIC, good old chronic sinusitis.  There are many people on this NG who have had comparable experiences–that’s why we’re here! So by Occam’s Razor, if it sounds like chronic sinusitis, that may be all it is.  In the last YEAR I’ve been on this newsgroup, I don’t think I ever saw any posts from anybody who found actual malignancy in there.   Is there anything in your lifestyle that would predispose you to sinus cancer?  Are you a chemical worker, or a carpenter who works with solvents and glues, or anything like that? > To make me feel a little better, my 8 year old daughter joked that maybe it > was just a big "booger" that got stuck and when the doctor takes it out, > I’ll be good as new.
