Question:
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – 1. The last baby swan in the apartment pond is still alive and well. It has gotten a lot bigger. 2. Two little girls (8 or 9 yrs old) were playing by the pond. They actually managed to catch a bullfrog in a net. They were quite thrilled. I was rather impressed… frogs usually jump away long before I can get close to them. One of the little girls picked it up out of the net and walked over to me and asked if I wanted to touch it. I declined. It was a lovely frog though. 3. Maintenance finally came by and fixed my wobbly toilet today — after I put in the request over a week ago. 4. Found and fixed a bunch of bugs in my software project today — some were quite nasty. 5. Went grocery shopping. Since I got paid (for the first time in 2 months) a few days ago, I splurged on some goodies: focaccia bread, ice cream sandwiches, cookie-baking ingredients. R

1. As part of our latest project at work, I am working on a complicated subroutine (in assembly language) and I made a lot of progress today. 2. I signed up for another pottery class! Just hand-building, I never could do the wheel stuff. Actually, I could go in the pottery lab anytime I want, but I know I won’t make the effort unless I actually sign up for a class (and plunk down my $$$). 3. I got a new battery for my Metal Charger (an effect box for my guitar). Now I can play with ridiculous amounts of distortion again. 4. Ran into a friend I had not seen in over a year. We might do lunch. (Probably won’t, but it was still nice to see her again — if only for the novelty.) 5. My step-dad. He was always kind to me and said nice things about me. He was nice to other people too and would talk to anybody. I don’t remember him ever doing anything petty or cruel. R

For some reason, I’m intimidated by the wheel. 3. I got a new battery for my Metal Charger (an effect box for my guitar). Now I can play with ridiculous amounts of distortion again.
Someday, we’ll have to compare distortion/overdrive stomp boxes. I like Danelectro’s mini-pedals. 4. Ran into a friend I had not seen in over a year. We might do lunch.
